Summary: After agreeing to seek justice for Winston Pitt whose paintings were destroyed in museum custody, Helena Wayne quickly learns the destroyed paintings were actually forgeries of Winston's work with the originals most likely stolen. Deciding to have another look around the museum as the Huntress, Helena Wayne soon discovers that the looter is none other than Green Lantern's old foe, Solomon Grundy. But Grundy isn't interested in Winston's work. He's after something else he's fallen in love with: a marble statue of a woman!

First Look At Ashley Scott As The Huntress For Crisis On Infinite Earths

Since the official announcement Ashley Scott will be reprising her Birds of Prey role as the Huntress for the upcoming CW DCTV crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths, it has been an exciting couple of weeks for me as a Helena Wayne Huntress fan. Not just because Ashley Scott was my first exposure to the Huntress at all, but because she's also been revealing in the past couple of weeks how much this role has meant to her.

This week, Scott began shooting her first scenes for The Flash S06E09 and revealed in an Instagram post the emotional experience she had slipping back into the Huntress costume for the first time in 16 years:

Summary: Helena Wayne visits the graves of her parents as the Huntress hoping that the comfort of their gravely 'presence' would help her train of thought as she investigates her current case. As she thinks back on the earlier events of her day, an old friend of hers—Winston Pitt—visited her law firm hoping to file a lawsuit against the museum exhibiting his paintings for the destruction of his work. Helena laments not being able to offer her services as a public interest lawyer, but agrees to help him in another capacity (as the Huntress). Following the clues of her investigation, Helena is led not to a petty vandal, but to one of the Green Lantern's deadliest villains!

Ashley Scott Set To Reprise Her Role As The Huntress For The CW's Crisis On Infinite Earths

For almost a year now, DCTV fans have known that a CW adaptation of Crisis on Infinite Earths was on the horizon as the big Arrowverse event for 2019. What no one anticipated was the network going all out with the event by inviting every actor who has ever portrayed a DC Comics character either on television or on film to participate in the crossover.

From Kevin Conroy who voiced Batman in various animation shows and video games, to Burt Ward who played Robin in the 1966 Batman show, to Smallville's Tom Welling and Erica Durance, and even Brandon Routh from the 2006 Superman Returns film reprising their roles, Crisis on Infinite Earths is increasingly becoming a love letter to DC in other media. Today, the 2002 Birds of Prey star Ashley Scott confirmed on Twitter that she will be reprising her role as The Huntress for the event:

Today is the canonical birthday of the pre-Crisis Helena Wayne Huntress as established in the back matter pages of Infinity Inc #7. 1984 was a great year to be a Huntress fan because in addition to helping kickstart Infinity Inc which further explored the legacy of the Justice Society, she was central to Earth-2's main event for that year: America vs the Justice Society of America. DC was also starting to recognise the popularity of the Huntress by this time that they began the initial work to launch the character onto her own ongoing series.
