When our heroes saved the Multiverse from Perpetua in Dark Nights: Death Metal, everything was put back where it belonged…and we do mean everything. All the damage from all the Crises was undone, and heroes long thought gone returned from whatever exile they had been in. Most of them, at least. Alan Scott, the Green Lantern from the Justice Society of America, has noticed some of his allies are still missing in action, and he’s determined to find them. There are others, though, who would rather remain hidden than explain themselves, like Roy Harper, a.k.a. Arsenal, a man who should be dead but now is not. Plus, what does all this mean for the DCU’s place in the Multiverse? On opposite sides of a dimensional divide, both Barry Allen and President Superman ponder this question. Not to mention the Darkseid of it all! Or a team of Multiversal heroes called Justice Incarnate!
We're five months into DC's Infinite Frontier era, but the publisher isn't done fleshing out the details of its new timeline and what its new Omniverse has in store. All of that is set to be explained in the upcoming Infinite Frontier miniseries and the Infinite Frontier: Secret Files one-shots.
Fans have already been getting hints of bigger things to come with events like Future State that are paving the road of DC's future. Fans are even getting hints of DC's past history in the pages of Stargirl: Spring Break Special, which is setting up future launches of a new Stargirl ongoing and a Justice Society series. This week, DC revealed more details about the Infinite Frontier miniseries, with writer Joshua Williamson sharing a textless page from the first issue.
The page depicts Barry Allen running through various Earths of the DC Multiverse, including the original Earth-2, Earth-22, and Earth-30 to name a few. The character representing Earth-2 on the page is the original Helena Wayne Huntress, who has also been teased on Prime Earth as a second generation Justice Society member in the Stargirl special. Exactly what role Helena Wayne will be playing in the Infinite Frontier era is known, but it looks like she'll be earning a bigger seat at the table than she's been afforded in the past.
Infinite Frontier #1 is set to go on sale 22 June. Infinite Frontier #0 and Infinite Frontier: Secret Files #1-3 are on sale now.
