Top 10 Most Memorable Huntress Moments In 2010s

The holidays are coming to an end as is the year and decade. Looking back on this decade, we got Helena Wayne back for seven of those ten years, which is actually not bad. It was certainly better than going another full decade without her and maybe only getting her in one or two stories that matter. This decade, we got her in at least nine books in a non-cameo capacity, and was a protagonist in at least five of those books.

While I can't say I've had the best decade as a Helena Wayne Huntress fan in terms of getting quality stories (and for other reasons that will be discussed in the 'Year in Review' post), there were at least some things I enjoyed about the post-Flashpoint version of the character. From her unashamed love of sweets to fighting crime with style to her openly bisexual behaviour, here are Helena Wayne's Top 10 Best Moments of the 2010s!

The Helena Wayne Huntress blog and podcast’s Diane joins Siskoid to cover Fire and Water Network Patreon poll Christmas winner, The Brave and the Bold #184 with Batman and the Earth-2 Huntress. It’s Mike Barr’s and Jim Aparo’s “The Batman’s Last Christmas!”, with lots of Crisis talk thrown in for good measure, because it’s what Christmas Eve is all about, isn’t it?

Listen to the Team-Up or subscribe to FW Team-Up on iTunes!

Doomsday Clock #12 Reinstates A Classic Superhero Team And Teases The Return Of Another Fan Favourite Heroine

It's been a while since I've written about current events in the comics, and that was largely due to the fact I've been busy with other projects these past three months. Projects such as reviewing the 2002 Birds of Prey television series (which I concluded last month), and have finished recording episodes for the Straight out of Gallifrey Podcast, the Fire and Water Podcast, and we just wrapped up recording the first five episodes for Volume 02 of The Huntress Podcast that will launch first thing next year. (More news on this soon.)

But getting to the main topic at hand, today saw the finales of both Tom King's Batman run as well as Geoff Johns' and Gary Frank's Doomsday Clock, as well as the penultimate issue of Scott Snyder's Justice Doom War storyline in Justice League. Out of the three, I definitely want to talk about Doomsday Clock because the finale of this maxiseries lays the groundwork for the future of DC, and for once, I'm actually excited about DC's future plans!

Huntress Cameo In Crisis On Infinite Earths Part 3

Tuesday night, The CW aired Part 3 of their 5-episode event, Crisis on Infinite Earths, and the first 48 seconds began with Huntress (Helena Kyle) running for her life as the skies of New Gotham (Earth-203) began to turn red. While making her way back to the Clocktower, Oracle (Barbara Gordon) makes one last stand seconds before the antimatter wave wipes their Earth—and them—from existence.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will conclude 14 January 2020.
