Summary: Having lost her powers to Zeus following her fight with the Duke of Deception, Diana must now find a new purpose again. Accompanying Etta Candy and Steve Trevor to the Paris Opera House for a Holliday Girls performance, Diana decides to assist with their show, even allowing a 10-year-old Alfred Pennyworth to assist her. After the show, Steve and the other Allied pilots are called to initiate an attack against the Axis powers and seize a new atomic weapon in their possession known as 'the Titan.' Diana knows that if the Titan awakens, Steve and the rest of the Allied pilots' lives will be in danger.

Deciding not to leave anything to chance, Diana takes matters into her own hands by 'commandeering' the only plane available for her to fly. Using the skills and knowledge she acquired from Steve about aviation, Diana takes an experimental plane on its first flight, and together with the Holliday College girls, she goes to the aid of the allied forces. Once there, Diana finds the Duke of Deception one step closer to reviving the Titan by completing its heart with the Baelytus. Summary: In Normandy, France, Princess Diana (now going by the name Diana Prince) volunteers as a nurse for the US military to gain information about the Duke of Deception. Death and destruction follow the Duke of Deception wherever he sets foot, effectively plaguing the shores of Normandy with armies of undead soldiers that cannot be defeated with mortal weapons.

Legend of Wonder Woman Gets Volume 2 by DC

It's been known for quite some time that writer and artist Renae De Liz had a sequel planned for her hit miniseries Legend of Wonder Woman, and even pitched another comic that explored the history of the Amazons in depth.

For a while, De Liz was uncertain of the status of her new projects at DC, even with an Eisner nomination for Legend of Wonder Woman for the best digital comic category. Well yesterday, De Liz confirmed and happily announced on Twitter that the second volume of her hit miniseries was greenlit by DC:

Legend of Wonder Woman Artist and Writer, Renae De Liz, Nominated for an Eisner Award

It has been an interesting week to be a comic book fan. Amongst the top conversations that took place this week was perpetual Hollywood racism in the form of whitewashing Japanese characters from Japanese manga and anime in an industry that already offers little opportunities to Japanese actors. To top that story was DC's infamous firing of respectable executive editor, Shelly Bond, from Vertigo, sparking an angry enough response from fans and industry professionals alike by publicly exposing DC group editor Eddie Berganza as the serial sexual harasser they continue to employ despite the real damage and trauma he caused to various women who worked for DC over the years. The outrage was so strong, his name was trending on Twitter for 24 hours, much to DC's shame.

With all that's happened this week, there is a lot to be embarrassed about in both the entertainment industry and comics community. Despite all the gunk and rubbish that surfaced this week, however, there is one very bright light at the end of this dark tunnel of comics news that is worthy of celebration: the nomination of Legend of Wonder Woman writer and artist, Renae De Liz, for an Eisner Award for Best Digital/Web Comic.
