The Flash #750: The Future Of Earth-5G Is Up In the Air!

This week, The Flash #750 celebrated the Flash's 80th anniversary, and out of the entire collection of stories featured in the special, only three of them added new chapters to the upcoming Earth-5G initiative: the main Flash feature from Joshua Williamson's run, the Jay Garrick Flash story taking place in Keystone City in 1940, and the epilogue to the recently concluded Flash Forward miniseries, which is also functioning as the prelude to DC's upcoming FCBD 2020 offering: Generation Zero: Gods Among Us.

Doomsday Clock #7 Reveals The Fate Of Alan Scott And The Justice Society. So Now What? Spoilers Ahead.

Doomsday Clock #7 hit the shelves last week, and while the story does recover one major piece to the larger puzzle, we are sadly still no closer to seeing (let alone understanding) the larger picture that is the post-Flashpoint DC Universe. We especially don’t know what writer Geoff Johns wants to say about DC’s haphazard reboots and their long term damages to character vitality and the integrity of their core mythologies.

Favourite DC Heroes: Who Are My Top Ten?

This is a question I get a lot from friends and followers on social media and with good reason. After all, in a large superhero universe like DC, there has to be more than one character that I like, right? Otherwise, why bother investing in DC at all?

It's a no brainer which of DC's roster of characters would make #1 on my list (duh), but what a lot of fellow DC fans want to know is "who are the other DC characters I love just as much as my #1?

Road to Justice Society Rebirth: What We Know So Far, Week 04 (Spoilers Ahead)

This past Wednesday saw the conclusion of "The Button" crossover between Batman and The Flash. I originally had this post scheduled for Wednesday like with the other three posts, but then I made the mistake of reading Superman #23 just before lunch that same day. If you read this week's Superman, you don't have to guess as to what "event" happened in that comic that sent me into a flying rage the rest of the day, but it is one that deserves its own post. For this one, we'll only focus on "The Button."

The new world looks real, feels real, and nothing appears out of the ordinary, but it also appears "too good to be true." Is the new Earth the world the heroes remember, or is it some kind of mutated rebirth of their original Earth? If the latter, who's the architect behind it? Did the heroes create this new world with their hopes, dreams, and memories, or is there a more sinister force lurking underneath the surface? While Power Girl, Fury, Hawkgirl, Flash, and Val-Zod try to make sense of their new world, Huntress and her team of two may have stumbled upon the first answer to that important question.

Helena is upset that they're in limbo and doesn't believe there is anyone else around. That is until they are attacked by an army of Sandmen, which she and her companions effortlessly defeat.

On the other side of Metropolis, Val-Zod theorises that reality has been completely rebooted and that they've all been changed in subtle ways. He also thinks that the world does exist but is "out of phase" and is "waiting to catch up." Fury decides to test this theory by punching through an invisible wall, revealing a fully realised interior. This attracts the attention of the Sandmen who are still acting the heroes like antibodies attacking a virus that invaded a host body.

The heroes succeed in keeping the Sandmen at bay, but their surroundings go pitch black before revealing a fully realised living Metropolis with a modern retro aesthetic. There to greet the heroes is Henry Heywood III, the third Commander Steel.
